Below you will find pictures and information on other turtles of the Pacific Northwest.

Inland Turtles:turtles that stay in streams,ponds,lakes,or rivers. Just below is a Snapping Turtle, an example of an inland turtle

The Painted Turtle

Sea Turtles:turtles that live in seas or oceans. Just below is a Loggerhead, an example of a sea turtle.

The Loggerhead Turtle (seaturtle) Mostly babys are found on our coasts but adults are not. They live in subtropical (warm) waters in all the major oceans.

The Green Turtle. Occasionally found off our coasts, these seaturtles live year round in the bays around San Diego.

The Pacific Ridley are mostly found in tropical waters and are somewhat rare on our coastlines, but they do visit us occasionally!
