Predators

badger.jpg

Above is the badger. It along with the weasel, the racoon, and the coyote are the predators of the turtle family here in the Pacific Northwest.

coopershawk.jpg

Just above is the Coopershawk. This bird and other raptors like the eagle, the falcon, and the raven all eat turtles.

weasel.jpg

Just above is a weasel. They mostly eat the young turtles and that is bad because if all the babies die there will be limited amounts of turtles.

The raccoon: another predator of the Western Pond Turtle.

The bigmouthed bass will feast on baby turtles!

So will the Bullfrog!

As will the coyote. Those poor turtles. The worst predator of all I haven't put up here: MAN.
